Present

Your present state of health is a combination of everything you have eaten in your life. Where does that leave you right now, eating for health or eating to be unhealthy?

Do you feel happy, joyful and excited about each day, always commenting how healthy you feel? If not, then maybe you are out of balance in your daily food intake. Why is it so important that we use this term balanced in this present day?

There are many people who get sick because of inadequate balance of foods. When you only eat the food you crave then you are out of balance. If you eat only sugar-based foods you may experience mood swings and highs and lows of energy. This is out of balance. We have an abundance of everything at our fingertips and most people ignore all the wonderful signs about being healthy. Their preference is to be unhealthy. Tired, unable to get up in the morning, bathroom habits are irregular, overweight, underweight and the list goes on. There are no magic pills or potions to be healthy. Firstly you must start at the basics and give your body the very best chance it has to be healthy. If you are eating correctly any ailments you might get may not be with you for very long.

Why is it that fast food is the outlet for this so-called busy life style in the 21st Century? Most people answer, "I eat healthy food." If you don't have an understanding of what healthy food is, how do you know you are eating the right food for you. No two people are the same. What might be healthy for one person may be making another person sick. You can still be extremely busy and healthy while eating a well balanced diet of proteins, carbohydrates, good fats, minerals and vitamins.

If we remember to eat seasonal produce as fresh as possible with little or no refined or processed foods, it is a great start to health.
